Venice
Venice is one of the oldest areas in Los Angeles. During the early twentieth century the rich and famous built their summer homes on the Canals reminiscent of Venice Italy. Today many of the original cottages still exist next to new construction. You can see contemporary, architectural and traditional as you stroll down the walk-thru streets or take a ride on the canals. This area has survived because the artists who have always lived there found it an inspiring place to work. Abbot Kinney is the main street that has many hip restaurants and shops.
